The world is preparing for the release of the S25, but let me tell you why I’m still talking about the S24 Ultra. You might be wondering why I’m focusing on the S24 Ultra when the next generation is just around the corner. Well, this isn’t a review of the S24 Ultra. I bought this phone with the intention of reviewing it and comparing its camera. I planned to sell it afterward or use it as a secondary phone. However, fate seemed to have different plans for me.
When you come out of a long, toxic relationship and enter a new one, you begin to experience things in a fresh and exciting way. But just like in relationships, the S24 Ultra isn’t perfect either. Let’s start with the design—it’s undeniably solid, though not the most comfortable. But here’s the thing: people often misunderstand this. They think that no matter how they use the phone, it’ll always feel uncomfortable. This isn’t true. Whether you’re watching movies, gaming, or just doing normal tasks, the phone feels comfortable most of the time. The only occasional discomfort happens when you need to grip it in a specific way—then the sharp edges are noticeable. But don’t worry, the S25 will have solved this issue.
The S24 Ultra is built for durability with its titanium frame and Gorilla Glass protection. I’ve probably tested this protection more than anyone else, having gone through eight screen protectors in just ten months! I even tried a ₹1 protector, and yes, it broke too. Now, when it comes to handling, the phone is a bit wider than others, especially larger models. It’s around 2 to 3 mm wider, which affects its grip a little. So, if you’re planning to get the Ultra and your phone doesn’t just sit on the table, be sure to get a case. But overall, durability is something I’ll never compromise on, even when shifting from one “relationship” to another.
Moving on to the display, this is the standout feature for me. The S24 Ultra’s display is easily my second favorite thing about the phone. The moment I switched back to another phone, I realized something was missing from the display. It was hard to pinpoint exactly, but the S24 Ultra offers the best display you can get right now on any phone.
But here’s the thing—just like a relationship can’t be judged only on its strengths, you can’t base everything on the display. However, if you’re running an organization or need efficient teamwork, I’ve got a fantastic tool for you. Try using a project management tool, and I highly recommend “Do.” It’s an all-in-one business management software that allows you to manage multiple projects with ease, assign tasks to your team, and track progress in real-time. The best part? You can use their Project App for free, for a lifetime, with unlimited users.
Now, before we dive into the issues with the S24 Ultra, let’s talk about why I’ve stayed with this phone for so long. Despite the fact that the iPhone is known for being smoother, the S24 Ultra outperforms it in speed. After using Samsung phones, switching back to Apple was an adjustment. Apple might be smoother in some areas, but once you use the S24 Ultra, it’s hard to go back.
As for the camera, while I don’t think the S24 Ultra’s camera is bad, it doesn’t compete with the previous generation’s performance. For example, in portrait photos, the S24 Ultra has no competition. But when it comes to zooming or ultra-wide shots, the S23 Ultra does it better. The S24 Ultra’s camera just doesn’t cut it for me in all scenarios.
When it comes to security, the S24 Ultra offers a lot of great features, like secure folders and extra protection layers. But here’s my philosophy: if you’re on the internet, privacy is a myth. Don’t store things you need to hide in your phone.
So, the ultimate question is: would I recommend this phone? Well, for me, the S24 Ultra has its flaws, but it also offers unmatched performance in certain areas. It’s not perfect, but it’s far from bad.
