Discover the most anticipated smartphones of 2025, including the Samsung S25 Ultra, iPhone 16, OnePlus 8 Fold, Google Pixel 9 Pro, and Nothing Phone 3. Explore their exciting features, upgrades, and launch dates.
This year is going to be quite crazy with the launch of some really exciting smartphones. We’ve compiled a list of all of them and will try to share as much inside information as possible. 2025 is definitely going to be a thrilling year.
From the start, I’ve been using my personal favorite features. The first one is the AI-based features, which I find super cool. I use them a lot, including the photo removal tools and many Google-specific features. One thing that most people don’t talk about, and only those who’ve used it would know, is how sturdy the screen is. I’ve been using it without a screen guard or cover. It’s survived countless drops and scratches from sharp objects like keys, and yet, there hasn’t been a single challenge or damage to the screen.
If I were to make a prediction for the upcoming Samsung S25 Ultra, I think it would be quite similar to the previous models since there haven’t been any major changes in the last 3-4 years. However, I believe the edges might be slightly more rounded this time, as they felt a bit sharp to hold before.
The most exciting thing about this year’s phone will be the unified Snapdragon variant for Samsung devices, which will significantly reduce performance differences and compatibility issues. There are also rumors of changes in the camera setup, such as upgrading the ultra-wide lens to 50 MP (currently 12 MP). This is a much-needed upgrade. The front camera may also see an upgrade to 50 MP from the current 12 MP. Overall, the camera setup is expected to be solid.
Another aspect I’m most excited about is the launch of One UI 8. This update should bring a lot of improvements. The base model is expected to start with 16GB RAM, which sounds crazy because computers used to come with that much RAM! The launch is confirmed for January 22, 2025.
Now, talking about the iPhone series, this year will see a very significant launch. Apple will need to compete fiercely. There are two ways they might do it: either reduce the prices of their regular models or bring more innovative features. The new iPhones might come with a 120 Hz display, an 8-inch panel, and 12 MP cameras for both the main and selfie cameras. The expected price is around ₹45,000, and the launch window is between March and May 2025.
Another major release to watch out for is the OnePlus 8 series. The upcoming foldable models might address the gap issue, making them feel more like regular smartphones when folded. The display specs might include an 8-inch 120 Hz AMOLED main screen and a 6.4-inch cover screen. It may come with 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and IPX8 water resistance. Pricing is expected to be between ₹50,000-70,000.
For the Google Pixel series, there could be three variants this year. Last time, the Pixel 9 Pro didn’t launch, and only the standard models were released. The Pixel 9 lineup might feature a 6.3-inch 120 Hz AMOLED panel, upgraded cameras (50 MP primary, 48 MP ultra-wide, and 48 MP telephoto), and a 42 MP front camera. It may also have a 4,700 mAh battery with fast charging and aluminum-framed glass panels. The price is expected to range from ₹90,000 to ₹1,40,000, with a launch window between March and April 2025.
For Nothing Phone 3, which is also expected in early 2025, the design might retain its signature transparent rear panel with a revamped Glyph interface. An Action Button may also be introduced for customizable functionalities. Performance-wise, it could feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 or MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus processors. Camera specifications could include a 64 MP primary lens, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and a 32 MP ultra-wide lens, along with a 32 MP selfie camera. It’s likely to be priced around ₹55,000 for the Pro model.
This year is shaping up to be exciting with so many innovative devices. Stay tuned for more updates as we dive deeper into these launches!
