Price Hike for 512GB Variants
The latest information suggests that the 512GB variants of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will see a price hike compared to their predecessors. However, the 256GB versions will likely remain at the same price as the previous Galaxy S24 series.
According to reports from FN News, here are the anticipated prices for the South Korean market:
- Galaxy S25 (256GB variant): $796
- Galaxy S25 Plus (256GB variant): $930
- Galaxy S25 Ultra (256GB variant): $1,171
These prices mirror the Galaxy S24 series’ 256GB models. However, the 512GB models are expected to cost more:
- Galaxy S25 512GB: $896
- Galaxy S25 Plus 512GB: $1,042
- Galaxy S25 Ultra 512GB: $1,280
This marks an $18 increase for the Galaxy S25 compared to the 512GB version of the Galaxy S24. The Galaxy S25 Plus and Ultra will see a rise of $11 from the Galaxy S24 Plus and Ultra models.
Despite the increase in pricing, Samsung appears to absorb some of the higher manufacturing costs due to factors like pricier components and fluctuating exchange rates. This price hike is also likely due to the upgraded Snapdragon 8 processor.
No Global Launch for the 16GB RAM Galaxy S25 Ultra
While the Galaxy S25 Ultra 16GB variant is creating quite a buzz, reports indicate that it will not be available globally. This high-performance variant will be exclusive to the Asian market, and only select countries will have access to it. The countries where the 16GB RAM version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will reportedly be sold include India, South Korea, China, and Vietnam.
Pre-Orders and Availability
Samsung plans to kick off pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series on January 22nd, and the phones are expected to begin shipping on February 3rd. For those eagerly waiting to get their hands on the new devices, the general availability is rumored to start on February 9th.
