Update Details:

The Galaxy S23 Ultra used in this demonstration shows the latest update with version number ending in CXL2. The update is around 381.43 MB in size, featuring Android version 14 and One UI version 6.1.

The changelog mentions “device stability improvements, bug fixes, enhanced features, and performance improvements.” However, no new features are highlighted in this update.

Installing the Update:

After downloading and installing the update, the phone’s performance was tested. Applications like Phone, Dialer, Gallery, Messages, Internet Browser, Camera, Clock, Calendar, Calculator, and Reminder were launched to check for any lag or stutter. Animations appeared smooth, and no performance issues were noted.

Post-update, the Galaxy Store showed updates for applications such as Samsung Pass and Multi Control. For instance:

  • Penup Update: Added a new brush as a drawing tool and fixed bugs.
  • Multi Control Update: Latest version is 2.2.01.20 with a size of over 7 MB.

One UI 7 Update Rumors:

Currently, the Galaxy S23 series runs on One UI 6.1, and there is no official confirmation from Samsung about the One UI 7 beta release. There are rumors suggesting One UI 7 might be released directly to the S23 series without beta testing. Historically, beta updates are first available for the latest Galaxy series and sometimes the previous generation.

What do you think? Will Samsung include the S23 series in the beta program, or will they skip directly to a stable version? Share your thoughts in the comments.
